 Jim and I have worked with adult youth for the last 10-12 years. There
were two incidents that helped to impress upon me that this is what the Lord was directing me to do. The first took place at a meeting held in a high
school in Troy, MI. The speaker was talking about commitments to missions within the church, and I turned to a friend I was with and I told him that I believed my mission was to provide opportunities for our
church young people to be together. I did not know at the time that that would mean baking a quadrillion cookies and hundreds of veggie loaves. The second incident was a conversation I had with a teenager
who was looking for direction and a place to study the bible. That sparked the interest for Friday night bible studies. Interaction with these youth has filled
a void in my life. Each one is learning to use their God-Given talents. Praise God! |
